Question 1

What makes GoldnBear different from other security companies?

Accepted Answer

Most guard companies react to incidents. GoldnBear prevents them. Our founders are U.S. Army veterans with backgrounds in social work, and our method is built on human psychology, behavioral analysis and military strategy. Our agents read people and remove the trigger before a situation escalates. We also pioneered the use of low-profile agents who blend in as staff, helpers or guests, a method traditional guard companies do not use. The result is fewer incidents, not just faster response.

Question 2

Are you licensed, bonded and insured?

Accepted Answer

Yes. GoldnBear Security is a licensed California Private Patrol Operator regulated by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services. We are bonded and carry general liability insurance. Every agent we place holds a valid California guard card, and armed agents hold an exposed firearm permit. We can provide a certificate of insurance and license details before any engagement begins.

Question 3

Are your guards armed or unarmed?

Accepted Answer

Both. We provide armed and unarmed agents and we recommend the right level based on the risk, the setting and the law. Most engagements are unarmed. Armed agents are appropriate for high-value assets, cash operations, credible threats and certain executive protection details. All armed agents hold a California BSIS exposed firearm permit and complete ongoing training.

Question 4

How fast can you deploy?

Accepted Answer

Often the same day. We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and we keep agents available for urgent requests across Los Angeles. A single post or a personal protection detail can usually be in place within hours. Larger programs with multiple sites take a few days to plan properly. Call us and we will give you a realistic timeline.

Question 5

What areas do you serve?

Accepted Answer

All of Southern California. We are headquartered in Downtown Los Angeles with offices in Santa Monica and Downey, and we serve Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties. We also provide international travel protection for clients who need coverage outside the region.

Question 6

How does pricing work?

Accepted Answer

Pricing depends on whether the agent is armed or unarmed, the number of hours, the level of risk and the training the assignment requires. Undercover and executive protection work is priced differently from a fixed post. We do not publish a rate card because every situation is different. The consultation is free, and you will receive a clear written quote with no hidden fees.

Question 7

Do you handle one-time jobs or only ongoing contracts?

Accepted Answer

Both. We provide one-time coverage for events, court dates, evictions, terminations and short-term threats. We also run ongoing programs for properties, campuses and facilities with dedicated agents and regular reporting. Many clients start with a single job and move to a contract once they see how we work. There is no minimum term to get started.

Question 8

Is GoldnBear veteran-owned?

Accepted Answer

Yes. GoldnBear was founded in 2004 by U.S. Army veterans dedicated to safeguarding society both within and beyond the United States. Our leadership team includes veterans, professional fighters, combat instructors and social workers. That combination shapes how we work: disciplined, calm under pressure and focused on people.

Question 9

How does undercover protection work?

Accepted Answer

A uniform makes people defensive. In sensitive situations like a divorce, a funeral, an eviction or a termination, a visible guard can escalate the very conflict you are trying to avoid. Our low-profile agents blend in as movers, helpers, staff, guests or friends. They stay close to the person or property they are protecting, read the room and act only when necessary. The other party never knows security is present. GoldnBear pioneered this method.

Question 10

Do you handle evictions and court situations?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Domestic and civil court protection and landlord-tenant conflict are core services. We accompany clients to hearings, custody exchanges and mediations, often undercover. We help with obtaining restraining orders and provide protection while they are served. For evictions we coordinate with your attorney and the Sheriff's Department and keep the process calm and lawful for everyone involved.

Question 11

Do you handle event permits and coordination with LAPD and venues?

Accepted Answer

We coordinate directly with venues, promoters and law enforcement on security planning. That includes staffing plans, access control, crowd management and emergency procedures. Permits for the event itself are usually the responsibility of the organizer, but we will tell you what the venue, the city and LAPD expect on the security side and help you meet it.

Question 12

How do I get a quote?

Accepted Answer

Call us or send a message through our contact form. We will ask a few questions about the situation, the location and the timing. For most requests we can give you a quote the same day. For properties and larger programs we will walk the site first, at no charge, and put a written proposal together. There is no obligation.
