1. Overview
This Cookie Policy explains how GoldnBear Security, operated by GoldnBear Inc. (referred to as GoldnBear, we, us or our), uses cookies, local storage, and two advertising measurement tags on https://goldnbearsecurity.com (the Site). It describes what these technologies are, why we use them, and the choices you have. This policy is part of our Privacy Policy, and terms used here have the same meaning as in that document. This Cookie Policy was last updated on October 4, 2026.
In short: the Site uses strictly necessary cookies and local storage to run the Site and remember accessibility settings and your privacy choice. It also loads an OpenAI advertising and measurement pixel and a Google Ads tag when a page loads, unless you opt out or your browser sends Global Privacy Control. They measure page visits, and the OpenAI pixel records a lead when a visitor submits a form or taps a phone number link, so we can measure ads and leads. That use may count as sharing personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law.
3. Why We Use These Technologies
We use these technologies for the following purposes:
- To keep the Site secure and working properly, including protecting it against automated abuse.
- To remember the accessibility settings you choose in the on-site accessibility widget so that they apply on every page and on your next visit.
- To record a Do Not Sell or Share opt-out, or that your browser sent Global Privacy Control, so the advertising tags do not load on later visits in this browser.
- To measure ads and leads with the OpenAI pixel and the Google Ads tag described below.
4. Categories We Use
We group the cookies, storage items, and pixels on the Site into the following categories:
- Strictly necessary: required for the Site to work and to keep it secure, such as items that protect against automated abuse, route your request to the correct server at our hosting provider, or remember a privacy choice. You can block them in your browser, which may affect how the Site functions.
- Preferences: remember the choices you make, such as the accessibility settings from the on-site accessibility widget (text size, contrast, dyslexia-friendly font, reduced motion, link highlighting, larger cursor, and reading guide). These are stored in your browser's local storage.
- Advertising and measurement: an OpenAI pixel that loads on page load and sends page-visit and lead events, and a Google Ads tag that loads on page load, so we can measure ads and leads. This may count as sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). You can stop them for this browser, and Global Privacy Control stops them as well. See section 6.
6. OpenAI Pixel and Google Ads Tag
When a page loads, the Site adds a script from https://bzrcdn.openai.com/sdk/oaiq.min.js and starts an OpenAI measurement pixel with pixel ID SvEb4UsvZMWB8AMGhZKDA3. The script runs unless you have opted out of sale or sharing on this browser, or your browser sends Global Privacy Control.
From our code, the pixel does two things we can verify. It loads on the page, which is how page visits are measured. When a visitor submits a form or taps a phone number link, our code sends a lead event named lead_created with a type of customer_action. We use these events to measure ads and leads. The lead event our code sends does not include the name, email address, phone number, or message you typed into the form. The vendor's script may attach its own technical data to those events; we do not list fields we cannot see in our code.
The Site also adds the Google tag script from https://www.googletagmanager.com/gtag/js and configures it with the Google Ads ID AW-799391813. It runs under the same conditions as the OpenAI pixel. From our code, the tag loads on the page, which is how page visits are measured for Google Ads. Our code does not send it a lead event or anything typed into a form. Google's script may set its own cookies and attach its own technical data; we do not list fields we cannot see in our code.
This use may count as “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. You can stop the pixel and the tag for this browser by choosing Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information at https://goldnbearsecurity.com/your-privacy-choices. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, neither is loaded.
7. How to Manage Your Preferences
You have several ways to control these technologies on the Site:
- Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information: the button on https://goldnbearsecurity.com/your-privacy-choices stores an opt-out in this browser and stops the OpenAI pixel and the Google Ads tag from loading. The choice applies to this browser until you clear site data or choose to allow them again on that page.
- Global Privacy Control: if your browser or a browser extension sends a GPC signal, we treat it as an opt-out and do not load the pixel or the tag. You do not need to click the button for this to take effect. Learn how to enable GPC at globalprivacycontrol.org.
- Privacy notice: a notice at the bottom of the page describes the pixel and the tag and links to this policy, the Privacy Policy, and the Do Not Sell or Share page. Dismissing the notice does not turn them on or off. They load on page load unless you have opted out or GPC is on.
- Browser settings: most browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies and clear local storage through their settings or preferences menu. Instructions for popular browsers are available from their support sites, for example support.google.com for Chrome, support.apple.com for Safari, support.mozilla.org for Firefox, and support.microsoft.com for Edge. Blocking all cookies may stop some parts of the Site from working correctly.
- Accessibility widget: use the controls inside the widget to clear your saved accessibility preferences without affecting other browser data.
- Mobile devices: iOS and Android provide settings to limit tracking and to clear website data for each browser within the device settings.
8. Do Not Track
Some browsers can send a Do Not Track (DNT) signal to the websites you visit. There is no common industry standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals, and the Site does not treat DNT differently from a browser that does not send it. We do honor Global Privacy Control, which has a defined legal meaning under California law, by not loading the OpenAI pixel or the Google Ads tag.
9. Relationship to Our Privacy Policy and Your Rights
Information collected through cookies, local storage, and the advertising tags is personal information under the CCPA when it can reasonably be linked to you or your device. Our Privacy Policy at https://goldnbearsecurity.com/privacy-policy describes the categories we collect, the rights California residents have (including the right to know, delete, and correct), and how to exercise them. The right to opt out of sharing is available on the Your Privacy Choices page at https://goldnbearsecurity.com/your-privacy-choices, which stops the OpenAI pixel and the Google Ads tag for this browser.
